SUMMARY:NAWT ONLINE Design Course - January 2024
DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE IS BEING HELD ONLINE.  \nThe NAWT OWTS Designer Training Course has been developed in response to requests for a design class from counties across the United States. This is a principles based design class\, not a regulations based class. The class presents sound\, science based principles of design\, which are applicable in health jurisdictions throughout the country. It is the responsibility of the designer to understand the local health jurisdiction regulations\, and properly apply the principles taught in the class. The class will cover the full range of tasks associated with the design of an OWTS\, including evaluation of existing documentation\, site evaluation\, subsurface investigation\, soils review segment\, creating sound design documents and the principles of design for gravity systems\, pumped systems\, mound systems and non-pressurized drip dispersal systems\, formerly called Colorado Low Pressure Drip. Attendees will learn about OWTS principles of operation\, tanks\, piping\, pumps and system access. \nExamples from the new Colorado Regulation 43 will be provided to illustrate how the local regulations have changed. \nCost: \n2-day Attendance (Full Certification): $295 for CPOW members and $395 for Non-Members. \n1-Day Attendance (Certificate Renewal): $195 for CPOW Members & $295 for Non-Members. \n*Please note that each registration includes ONE (1) NAWT Certificate or Renewal\, and any additional requested renewals are $75/each. \nYou must have a 2024 CPOW membership to receive member pricing. \n  \nOnline registration is now available for the course. NAWT CEU hours can be obtained by attending any NAWT-approved course or event.* \n  \nCPOW EXAM POLICY: \n\nIf the exam is not passed during the first attempt\, a second attempt will be allowed\, and will be scheduled after the first attempt. If the second attempt does not result in a passing score\, or if the rescheduled exam date is missed with no notification\, the participant will need to re-take the full course again\, but at the Audit/Observe rate ($210) due to the certification being paid for with the first registration. The registration for the next class will provide for two additional attempts to take the exam to obtain a passing grade.
